Intricate wooden houses where everyday objects are expertly carved works of art is one of the hallmarks of the Polish Highlands. It is, therefore, no surprise that, having grown up in the foothills of the Tatra mountains, Mateusz was fascinated with woodwork since he was a child.
A few years later, he combined his interest in wood with his passion for new technologies. He created a wooden smartphone docking station which turned out to be a huge hit, exceeding his expectations. As more and more accessories started coming out of his home workshop, Mateusz changed his passion into a business called Oakywood.
Even though Oakywood is a globally developing brand which ships its products to the farthest corners of the world, our workshop is still located in the town of Ciche, a small Polish town in the foothills of the Tatra mountains. Because of this we can take greater care of sustainability while supporting local economy and community.
All Oakywood products are handcrafted in our own workshop by certified craftsmen. Since 2017 we managed to enhance our machinery threefold which allows us to control all stages of production: from design, through prototyping, to manufacturing the end product. This means we are able to focus on the details and make sure we provide you with solutions to best suit your expectations. Quality, durability, and sustainability are the key values here at Oakywood, which is why we only use the finest, natural, and sustainably sourced materials.
Oakywood is a group of passionate people sharing the same core values: quality, sustainable development, and respect for others. Part of the Oakyteam works on site at the Ciche workshop, whilst others work remotely. Although we usually see each other online, we make a terrific, tightly knit team.
